Dumpling House outpost on 14th street
the dumplings are better (and more expensive) than the Eldridge Street original, plus the 14th Street location includes bubble tea, buns, and teriyaki rice combo plates. We had a delicious honey ginger bubble tea with fresh slices of ginger--yum--and a steamed veggie bun and sweetened red bean paste bun to split (both great). The 14th street dumplings have green wrappers and have a more flavorful and fresh filling. I tasted ginger and the greens were vibrant and tasty. More mushrooms in the mix as well, I believe they were shiatake. All around, I was very pleased, even though they upped the price from $2 to $4.49 for 8 (big percentage-wise, but really not a big deal) dumplings. It's located on the south side of the street at 220 14th Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
