peering into the Blue Benn

The Blue Benn is one of my favorite places to go for brunch. They have an extensive menu that includes many types of pancakes, omelettes, and a few proprietary classics, like their nut burger. If you look closely at the photo (sorry for the glare, this was taken in the waiting room--even at 3pm on Sunday there was a short wait for a booth!), you'll see a bunch of 8"x11" laminated pieces of paper. Those are all the specials that never made it to the print menu. They keep adding more but have a most of them up there for years. Today I got a spinach, mushroom, onion, and sprout cheddar melt on a whole wheat pita and one buckwheat pancake (not as much food as it sounds...Cory was hungry from tennis and ate half). Yum. Stop by if you're in or near Southern Vermont. The Blue Benn is definitely worth it. Then stop by Bennington Potters while you're in town.
