my mom didn't have enough butter in the fridge (the recipe calls for 12 tablespoons), so I substituted 4 tablespoons of Brummel & Brown. The crust wasn't as light and delicious as with all the butter. The flavor of the whole wheat flour was a bit more noticeable this time. The lovely blue baking dish is a Bennington Potters pan my mom has had for about 20 years.
