Berry between S. 2nd and S. 3rd was nominated for the greenest block in Brooklyn 2007 contest, because of the small community garden. According to the sign, it's only open M-F noon-2pm, or "whenever the gate's open."

This photo is a bit deceiving. He doesn't move that fast...he is so deliberate and gentle when he makes his pies. He said he makes about 100 a day. They are perfect. He takes such care when shaping the dough, spreading the fresh-basil-spiked sauce, when drizzling the extra virgin olive oil, when grating the cheese, and so on. You get the idea. Pizza perfection.

New Wes Anderson film trailer is up!
Those of you who have been fans of Wes Anderson/the Wilson brothers since the days of "Bottle Rocket" have probably heard about their upcoming film, "The Darjeeling Limited." News on the movie has been scarce, although I did read one article from a newspaper in India. The wait is over! The first trailer is up here. Here's hoping this one's better than "The Life Aquatic!" Anyone think that the release of this movie will spur a flood of American tourists in India wearing Lacoste polo dresses and wrist sweatbands?
