I moved to New York one year ago. Since then, I've lived in the Upper East Side, in a house with a back yard in Williamsburg, in a very crooked triangular apartment in Greenpoint, and now my lovely Williamsburg studio, only slightly crooked. I've had five jobs, suffered one bike accident, been to four boroughs, gone to a bunch of museums and eaten lots of dumplings in Chinatown. All in all, a good year.
love this place. reliable internet and good espresso drinks when you need 'em!
We've had Roadrunner internet through Time Warner Cable since November. We've always had kind of spotty service, but never this bad. Since Thursday the connection keeps going down, we'll reset the modem and wireless router and then within a few seconds to a few hours, it will inevitably drop off again. We're now told this is because the modem the company supplied us with does not support a wireless router or more than one internet connection. Say what?! Why didn't they tell us this 8 months ago? We've been waiting for a tech support call for three days. It's not like I'm waiting for the connection to view some porn or something--the internet is my job!
as of 1pm-ish today, they were unloading gear for Wilco's show tonight at the Warsaw. There were a few die-hard fans lining up already (the show is general admission) to get good seats. As of 2:30-ish the band's two tour busses had arrived.
